Ship Your POV Without the Inspection Stress

A PCS move is enough to juggle without your vehicle turn-in becoming a problem. If you're shipping your privately owned vehicle (POV), it has to pass a cleanliness inspection at the Vehicle Processing Center before it's accepted — and for overseas moves, that standard is strict. Dirt, sand, leftover debris, or organic buildup in the wheel wells, door jambs, or carpets can get your vehicle turned away, which means re-cleaning and coming back on a schedule you don't have time for.

We handle that for you. V Auto Aesthetics Mobile Detail is a veteran-owned, fully mobile service — we come to your home, apartment, or workplace and get your vehicle inspection-ready so you can hit your turn-in appointment with one less thing to worry about. No hauling your car to a wash bay, no guessing whether it's clean enough.

FAQs

PCS Detailing — Frequently Asked Questions

Does a detail satisfy my outprocessing requirement?

The Vehicle Processing Center requires your vehicle to pass a cleanliness inspection before it's accepted for shipment — for overseas moves, that standard is strict and zero-tolerance for soil, debris, and pests. A detail isn't technically "required," but a professional inspection-focused clean is the easiest way to make sure you pass the first time and avoid a reject sheet and a return trip.

How far in advance should I book before shipping?

We recommend booking so your vehicle is detailed a day or two before your turn-in appointment, keeping it clean right up to inspection. Reach out as soon as you have your ship date and we'll get you scheduled around it.

Can you accommodate short-notice PCS timelines?

We do our best to work with tight timelines. If your turn-in date is coming up fast, contact us right away and we'll let you know the soonest we can get to you.

Do you come to base housing?

We're fully mobile and come to your home, apartment, or workplace across San Antonio — including service members stationed at Lackland AFB, Fort Sam Houston, and Randolph AFB.

Which areas of the vehicle do you focus on for shipment?

We focus on the spots inspectors check — wheel wells, tires, undercarriage-adjacent areas, fuel intake, door jambs, trunk and hatch seals, the engine compartment, and all interior debris like sand, dirt, and pet hair.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, Cash App, and Zelle. Payment is due upon completion of the service.

The Ceramic Coating Process

Applying ceramic coatings is a multi-step process that involves carefully preparing your vehicle to ensure the coating bonds effectively for maximum protection. Here's what to expect when you choose our mobile service:

1. Preparation — The vehicle is thoroughly washed and clay barred to remove dirt, grime, and contaminants from the surface. This step ensures no further damage will be added to the vehicle throughout the remaining steps.

2. Paint Correction — Before applying the ceramic coating, we perform paint correction to remove any imperfections, swirls, or scratches on the vehicle's surface. This is highly recommended, as the coating will lock in any imperfections, meaning they will be visible under the coating. By correcting the paint beforehand, we ensure a flawless, smooth finish that maximizes the visual appeal and effectiveness of the coating.

3. Ceramic Coating Application — Once the paint is prepped and any imperfections are corrected, we'll do one final alcohol wipe to remove any leftover compound or waxes which is then immediately followed by applying the ceramic coating to the vehicle. This is done in a controlled environment to ensure the coating bonds perfectly with the surface, providing the highest level of protection.

4. Curing and Inspection — After application, the coating needs time to cure and fully bond to the surface. We ensure everything is properly cured and evenly applied before returning the vehicle to you, giving you long-lasting results.

Why Paint Correction Is Recommed

While ceramic coatings are highly effective, applying them over paint imperfections like swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation can result in a less-than-perfect finish. During the paint correction process, we carefully polish the paint to remove these imperfections, leaving behind a smooth surface for the coating to bond with.

By correcting the paint first, we ensure that the coating provides a truly mirror-like finish. This step not only enhances the appearance of your vehicle but also maximizes the effectiveness of the ceramic coating, ensuring it lasts longer and provides optimal protection.

For best results we’ll always recommend a full correction but we understand that’s not what everyone is looking for. Nonetheless, we’ll always recommend the minimum of a singe-stage enhancement polish to remove surface level defects, add more gloss & clarity to the paint and create a clean, smooth surface to ensure the coating bonds correctly.
